It took me a while to find this album, but wow, the energy!! Fittingly as it's about a red giant. The band is working like crazy and boy, does this rock!! The whole album is good, the title track amazing!

I tend to prefer my rock music with some vocals but this album is exceptional and very involving.

blackwing is still my favourite cloudkicker release but subsume sure is up there. I think I prefer the original to the remaster honestly (it's been a while though, I'll have to listen again soon)
